Sony said this is the first upgraded sensor the series has noticed since the Xperia Z1 and introduces a host of improvements for snap-happy smartphone users. Sony Xperia Z5 uses Sony’s next-generation camera sensor, the high 1/2.3 Exmor RSTM for mobile with a 23MP sensor and f/2.0 G Lens. Even at an angle of 30 degrees it’s still possible to see what’s on screen.

The brightness is almost excessive, but the color saturation is beautifully balanced, the images are sharp and the IPS LCD offers good outdoor visibility. The viewing angles are also very good. The quality of the Sony display is certain. This is down to the pixel density of 424ppi, which is important for a screen of this size as it indicate that pixels are almost invisible when inspecting the display close up. The display is vibrant and a pleasure to look at for hours on end, thanks to the Triluminos display technology as seen on Sony’s TV sets.
